Housing

It seems an obvious point to state that people live in ‘homes’. However, not all of us do. Sometimes, what should be our home is a place of fear or violence from either inside or outside. It can also be a place too overwhelming to manage through frailty or through the want of essential skills and become a place of isolation, liability or a problem to us in other ways. The extent to which any of us can experience a stable home as a place of safety and security and have the space to reflect and grow, is one of the key indicators for quality of life. In short, a real ‘home’ is a valuable commodity. Common Value uses this basic quality of life indicator and provides innovative and creative solutions for individuals and communities to tackle such complexities and bring real value to ordinary people who lead extraordinary lives
.

Whether delivering housing needs assessment, advice and advocacy, homelessness services or, dealing with housing management or Supporting People issues, there will always be a requirement to keep people using services as safe and as independent as possible, whilst ensuring staff are supported and empowered to deliver effective services.
